TUSAŞ SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETES THE HAFÇU PROJECT THREE MONTHS AHEAD OF SCHEDULE
Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) has successfully completed the Aerial Photographic Aircraft (HAFÇU) project, signed with the Defense Industry Presidency (SSB) on May 22, 2018, to meet the needs of the General Directorate of Mapping. The project was delivered ahead of the expected date. Originally scheduled for delivery on August 1, 2019, HAFÇU was delivered on April 26, 2019, thanks to the intense efforts of TUSAŞ engineers and technicians.
The project, initiated to meet the aircraft needs of the General Directorate of Mapping, involved TUSAŞ taking charge of all logistics, heavy maintenance, and repair operations. The company also carried out modifications to the aircraft’s camera systems. After successfully integrating the cameras, TUSAŞ conducted flight tests, completing them with success and delivering the aircraft to the General Directorate of Mapping.
