
On December 11, 2015, during the "Satellite, Space, and Technology Days" event held at Haliç Congress Center, TÜRKSAT successfully conducted the world’s first public 4K teleconference via TÜRKSAT 4B Satellite. This remarkable teleconference took place across four different locations, with the final connection made to the Space Systems Integration and Test (USET) Center at TUSAŞ – Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), located at its Kazan facilities.
The USET Center, inaugurated on May 21, 2015, is Turkey's first and one of Europe's leading integration and testing centers. During the live connection, Mustafa Şeker, Deputy Undersecretary of the Defence Industry, briefed Binali Yıldırım, Minister of Transport, Maritime, and Communications, about the status of Göktürk-1 satellite tests currently being conducted at USET and answered any questions.
The connection was attended by notable figures, including Celal Sami Tüfekçi, Deputy Undersecretary of the Defence Industry, Muharrem Dörtkaşlı, General Manager of TUSAŞ, and Selman Demirel, Director of TÜRKSAT Satellite Programs, all present at the USET Center during the teleconference.
This milestone event highlighted the advanced capabilities of the USET Center and its role in the integration and testing of critical satellite technologies.
