Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii (TUSAŞ) has successfully launched the "S.K.Y. int" internship program to develop the much-needed human resources for the defense and aviation industries. As part of this initiative, 48 intern engineers from various countries, including Germany and the UK, have joined TUSAŞ. They will be involved in prominent national projects followed closely by the international community, such as the National Combat Aircraft (MMU), ATAK, Heavy-Class Attack Helicopter, GÖKBEY, ANKA, and ANKA-S. In the coming month, a total of 72 intern engineers will join TUSAŞ, with new candidates arriving from abroad to contribute to these national projects.
TUSAŞ has been rapidly increasing its employment of qualified personnel in recent years. Through the S.K.Y. int program, it has successfully recruited promising engineering students from prestigious universities around the world. This strategic initiative aims to reduce dependency on foreign defense industries by fostering local talent and engaging them directly in Turkey’s national defense projects. Hundreds of applications were received, and after careful selection, 48 Turkish engineers were chosen to participate in TUSAŞ's groundbreaking projects.
As part of the program, TUSAŞ visited universities in various countries with significant Turkish populations, providing information on the ongoing projects, the company’s goals, and the employment opportunities available to Turkish engineering candidates. After these visits and presentations, TUSAŞ facilitated the arrival of Turkish engineering candidates living abroad to join the company as interns.
