TUSAŞ Completes First A350-1000 Aileron Delivery

TUSAŞ – Turkish Aerospace Industries, on November 3, 2015, successfully delivered the first A350-1000 aileron set to AIRBUS during a ceremony held at its facilities in Ankara Kazan. This delivery was made under the A350-1000 contract signed nearly two years earlier between TUSAŞ and AIRBUS.

The ailerons, which are critical flight control surfaces of the aircraft, form an integral part of the wing. The A350 XWB, a long-range, wide-body passenger aircraft, is the first AIRBUS model to feature wings and fuselage made from carbon fiber polymer composite, reinforcing its strength.

In addition to the A350 program, the TUSAŞ-AIRBUS partnership also includes the ongoing production of parts for the A400M, A330, and A320 Families, with deliveries continuing according to schedule. The success of these programs further emphasizes the strategic partnership between the two companies, indicating potential for future developments.

As a strategic partner, TUSAŞ continues to enhance its engineering methods, procedures, and capabilities to meet the growing demands of the aviation industry, providing AIRBUS with increasingly sophisticated components. The delivery of the first A350-1000 aileron set marks an important milestone in this long-standing collaboration.
