The AKSUNGUR UAV System, with its high payload capacity, is an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System designed for continuous, day/night Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Attack missions. It is equipped with EO/IR, SAR, and SIGINT payloads, as well as various air-to-ground weapons, and has a Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) capability. AKSUNGUR is powered by two turbocharged diesel engines, allowing it to conduct extended operations up to 40,000 feet.
In November 2023, the AKSUNGUR, which made its maiden flight powered by the TEI-PD170 national engine, reached an altitude of 30,000 feet using this engine and achieved an airborne duration of 41 hours during this flight. In ongoing national engine tests, the AKSUNGUR has exceeded an altitude of 40,000 feet.
As the longest-endurance UAV in its class, AKSUNGUR offers a unique advantage with its 1-ton payload capacity.
In addition to its military applications, the AKSUNGUR UAV is also used in civilian operations, successfully performing tasks such as search and rescue, and damage assessment in disaster scenarios like earthquakes, floods, and fires.
